Setting up the Quad Cortex
  1. Connect the QC to this computer with USB-C, press Connect, and allow MIDI when Chrome asks. Pick the Quad Cortex in MIDI output if it isn't picked already.
  2. Set Channel to the QC's MIDI channel (Settings → MIDI on the QC).
  3. The QC can't map a MIDI CC to any knob. Incoming CCs reach its two expression inputs instead. On the QC, assign Expression 1 and Expression 2 to the volume or level parameters you want (Output block level, a Volume block, a gain), and set the range for each. You can assign one expression to several parameters, and assignments are saved per preset.
  4. The first two faders send CC 1 (Expression 1) and CC 2 (Expression 2). Scene buttons send CC 43 with values 0–7 for scenes A–H. These numbers come from the QC's MIDI chart; if your firmware uses different ones, change them in each fader's CC box.
  5. On the QC Mini, Expression 1 is also the pedal jack. If a pedal is plugged in there, the pedal and fader 1 will fight; use fader 2 for MIDI-only control.

Your settings stay in this browser. Nothing is sent anywhere except to the MIDI device you pick.
